Problem

A large business’s particular service line was about to be negatively impacted by a certain legislative bill that had significant bipartisan support.  In effect, the bill would have eradicated one of the client’s top service lines.

Approach

First, we took the business's problem to the committee staff handling the bill, and educated the staff on the unintended consequences of the bill (they were unaware of the problem).  Second, along-side committee staff, we were able to draft and insert legislative language into the bill that allowed the client to operate its top service line under new law provided by the bill.

Results

The client preserved marketshare, and saved tens of millions of dollars in company revenue.
